Using mobile phone as remote control

While searching for information about the communication between a Sony Ericsson T630 and a Linux system, I found some interesting pages about using a bluetooth-compatible (of infrared) cellphone as remote control for media applications or even your whole system. Plugins for xmms and other applications are available. Wow! I'm impressed. Seems that I'll need some time to play when I'll buy that phone wednesday!

If you're interested: I first noticed this possibilities on the Gentoo Wiki, at the HOWTO mobile phone, Bluetooth and GNOME.
